Springfield Auto Sales is happy to help arrange shipping for your vehicle anywhere in the world — whether it's headed across the Wisconsin, across the continental U.S., or internationally, we'll walk you through the available options. We're glad to coordinate shipping on your behalf and secure highly competitive rates, making the process efficient, cost-effective, and streamlined. That said, if you have a preferred carrier, you're welcome to make your own arrangements — the choice is yours.
Every vehicle comes with a U.S. title, invoice (bill of sale), and all other supporting documentation required for your destination.
Domestic Customers
For Wisconsin customers, we're authorized and directed by the Wisconsin State Board of Equalization to collect Sales & Use Tax for the county where the vehicle will be registered. The Board of Equalization requires that sales tax be due and payable at the time of purchase for any car sold and delivered within Wisconsin.
We don't collect sales tax on out-of-state sales, but only when the transport company provides us with a valid Bill of Lading.
If you already have a designated carrier, please have them contact our shipping department directly to schedule pickup or delivery.
If you don't yet have a designated carrier, our shipping department can either recommend reputable freight companies for you to arrange yourself, or provide competitive rates and coordinate the entire shipping arrangement on your behalf.
Overseas Customers
There is no export tax from the U.S.
If you have a preferred freight carrier, please have them contact our shipping department directly to schedule pickup or delivery.
If you don't yet have a preferred carrier, our shipping department can either recommend reputable freight companies for you to arrange yourself, or provide competitive rates and coordinate the entire shipping arrangement on your behalf.
If you choose your own carrier, we can also deliver the car to that freight company's local facility in Wisconsin for a standard fee, or you can make arrangements for your carrier to pick up directly from our Lake Geneva warehouse.
If you choose to have us coordinate the entire shipping arrangement, the local delivery fee will be included in the overall price.

Overseas Shipping Insurance
Shipping rates do not include insurance. If you'd like to insure your vehicle in transit, the cost is 2% of the insured value of the car, plus a $95.00 processing fee.
